A floating restaurant in Jamaica at Runaway Bay in St Mary is gaining a lot of popularity on the internet. HighSeas Seafood Raft is a mobile seafood outlet built on a bamboo raft out in the Gran Bahia Principe waters. This innovative eatery offers fresh seafood including lobster, conch and crabs served to you fresh out of the ocean. Their tagline on their Facebook page reads, “We offer everything you see and don't see (you ask for it we deliver)”. People who have visited this restaurant have raved about the freshness of the seafood, which is created into delicious dishes. A happy customer Sherrine Atzzs described her dining experience as, “Seriously could not get enough of this seafood! You can't get fresher than this! It's caught and cooked in front of your eyes. Lobster and shrimp tasting like heaven. With roasted breadfruit, pineapple, sweet potato, onions, garlic, avocado and that amazing marinade, it’s absolutely delicious.”
You may have to wait for two Jamaican minutes (which is equal to 30 actual minutes), but the taste of the meal is sure to make up for it. The HighSeas Seafood Raft is run by two brothers Jarome and Christipher. They provide seafood on a day-to-day basis depending on the catch, which includes crabs, lobsters, octopus, common sea fish, etc. Their service is also being highly appreciated by visitors. “Best authentic seafood ever! You won't find this anywhere else. Jerome rocks a great recipe and the customer service is out of this world,” commented Janet Sharkey on their social media page.
So, if you visit Jamaica, this place can make your seafood experience fantastic. All you have to do is jump onto the raft or just swim towards it and indulge to your heart’s content. A great time dining in the ocean can make a perfect day for you!
