A sensational mutton pulao recipe straight from Kashmir. This Yakhni pulao will add charms to your dinner party.

Ingredients of Yakhni Pulao (My Yellow Table)

  • 500 gram mutton
  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Black cardamom
  • 3 green cardamom
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 Tbsp chopped ginger & garlic
  • Black pepper
  • 3-4 sliced onions
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 cup dahi
  • 3 Tbsp oil

How to Make Yakhni Pulao (My Yellow Table)

1.Soak Basmati rice in water for 10 minutes,
2.Heat oil, add bay leaf, cloves, cardamom,
3.Sauté onions till golden brown and add chopped ginger & garlic.
4.Now, add mutton and fry,
5.Add dahi and black pepper followed by Basmati rice, fennel seeds, salt and water.
6.Cover and cook on low flame,
7.Serve hot!
