There's nothing worse than having runny gravies in your homemade dishes. But it is a pretty common problem. If you are struggling with runny gravies, here are five hacks to fix it.

Soak 8-10 cashew nuts in warm water and blend them into a smooth paste. This will thicken your gravy and give it a creamy and delightful taste.

Popularly used in the Bengali dish Alu Posto, khus khus or poppy seed paste can thicken your gravies. Soak the seeds, grind them, and add them to your gravy.

Mix besan or chickpea flour with water and make a slurry of it. Add this to gravy, stir and let it cook for a minute. This will make your gravy thick and tasty.

Tomato puree adds a tangy flavour to gravies. Just cook diced tomatoes with spices and blend them once they are mushy. Add this to your gravy and enjoy.

Take any vegetable and roast it. Then make a smooth paste by blending it in a mixer. Add this to your runny gravy and stir till completely dissolved.
