5 Foods You Should Not Put In A Blender

A blender is a versatile kitchen gadget. You can easily whip up smoothies, hummus, and more. But not everything can be put in a blender. Here are 5 foods you should not put in a blender.

1. Hot Foods

Hot foods, when put in an air-tight container, can build up steam which could lead to an explosion and ruin your blender. This can also lead to serious burns.

2. Ice Cubes

Some blender models don't support ice-crushing. This could damage the lid and the pitcher, dull the blades, and ice won't be properly crushed.

3. Dried Fruit

The leather-like texture of dried fruits can be tasty but could stick to the blades of your blender. This could ruin it and make cleaning a mess.

4. Coffee Beans

Coffee beans are hard and can damage the blades and ruin the pitcher. You will also not get coffee that is ground evenly.

5. Fibrous Veggies

Veggies like broccoli may not blend properly in a blender and leave a stringy texture. Instead, remove the tough parts or chop them before blending.
