Got a sweet tooth and craving something that hits just the right balance of indulgence and sweetness? These chocolate banana muffins are exactly what you need!

2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup flour

In a bowl, mash the bananas and mix them with melted butter. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until everything is nicely combined.

Sprinkle the baking soda and salt on top of the mixture, then add the flour. Stir everything together until it's smooth.

Scoop the batter into a muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.

Pop them into the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes. Let them cool for a bit in the pan, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
