5 Steps To Make Chocolate Mug Cake

Easy to make and delicious, chocolate mug cake is our go-to dessert when we are short on time. It is made with pantry staples and is beginner-friendly. Here are 5 steps to make it.

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

Take a mug and add flour, refined sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and a dash of salt. Mix all the dry ingredients well.

2. Add Wet Ingredients

Now add milk and butter to dry ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth and lump-less. Add chocolate chips for extra flavour.

3. Microwave

Place the mug in the microwave and bake the cake for at least 2 minutes. Start with 1 minute and check for doneness with a toothpick.

4. Let It Cool

Carefully remove the mug cake from the microwave and let it cool. The cake will continue to cook slightly after it cools down as well.

5. Garnish

Top your chocolate mug cake with whipped cream, ice cream and chocolate syrup to enhance its flavour. Once done, dig right into your mug cake.
