1. Plastic Containers

Unless a plastic container is labelled as microwave-safe, avoid using it. Normal containers can release toxic chemical compounds into the food when heated.

Metal can reflect and concentrate electromagnetic waves, leading to sparks, fires, and potential damage to the microwave's magnetron.

3. Grapes

Exposure to a microwave's electromagnetic field can cause grapes to create an electrical current, posing a fire hazard to the appliance.
