Market-bought produce might seem clean from the outside but can house pests inside. It is crucial to keep it pest-free so that it's healthy. Here are some easy ways to do it.

Mix one part vinegar with three parts water and soak your veggies in it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well. This will remove residues and pests effectively.

Mix 2-3 tablespoons of salt in a bowl of water. Soak your produce for 20-30 minutes and then wash. Salt water will help remove pests and clean the produce.

Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub the surface of veggies under running water. This will remove pests and dirt from vegetables like carrots and potatoes.

Neem is a natural insect repellent. Mix a few drops of neem oil in water. Spray this solution on veggies. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing.

Add one teaspoon of baking soda to water and soak the veggies for 10-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly to remove pests and baking soda residues from veggies.
