The kitchen is surely one place in our homes where we can make more 'ecologically-forward' choices. There are several ways of reducing the carbon footprint of kitchen.
All you need is a windowsill or any corner where the plants can get direct sunlight and yet be protected against birds and pests.

Choose appliances that use the minimum electricity, heat and water while cooking. Also unplug appliances when you're not using them.

Cook only as much as you can finish the same day. If you do have leftovers, try and fashion them into fresh meals the next day.
