In India, several festivals mark the onset of spring and celebrate the harvest season. Here are some examples, along with the delicious treats that are part of the festivities.

Falling on April 9, 2024, Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of the new harvest season in Maharashtra. Puran poli is popularly enjoyed during this time.

It's the beginning of the new year as per the lunisolar calendar. In Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, people celebrate by making Ugadi pachadi.
