Coconut halwa is a deliciously rich dessert that's perfect for your sweet cravings. Packed with coconuts and dry nuts, here's how you can make coconut halwa effortlessly.

1 ½ cups desiccated coconut
1 ¼ cups of milk
2 ½ tbsp ghee
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp cashews
2 tbsp raisins
3 tbsp almonds
½ tsp cardamom powder

In a blender, add almonds and blend them. Make a paste of it by adding a little bit of milk. Pulse it twice or until the almond paste is smooth.

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan. Add cashews and raisins. Roast until golden and aromatic then set aside. This will bring out the flavours of nuts.

In the same pan, add the remaining ghee. Toast the desiccated coconut lightly on medium heat until it becomes aromatic and golden.

Add milk to the mixture along with sugar and cardamon. Then add the almond paste and keep stirring until it is thick and starts to leave the sides.

Garnish with chopped nuts and mix everything together. Serve the coconut halwa warm or let it cool down for a firm texture!
