Honey chilli idli is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe. This popular Indo-Chinese dish is perfect for satisfying your cravings. Follow these simple steps to create it at home.

Idli1 large onion (cubed), Capsicum, Green chillies, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp garlic (chopped), 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp black pepperSalt, to taste

1 tbsp red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp maida (all-purpose flour), Oil, as required

You can use leftover idlis or freshly made ones for this recipe.

Cut the idlis into your desired shape. Prepare a thin batter by mixing cornstarch, maida, salt, black pepper, and ginger garlic paste in a bowl.

Heat oil in a pan. Dip the idli pieces into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated, and deep-fry them until crispy and golden brown.

In another pan, heat some oil. Add chopped garlic, green chillies, and onions, and sauté lightly.

Add capsicum, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. Then, add red chilli sauce, ketchup, vinegar, honey, and soy sauce. Mix well.

Cook for a few seconds, then add a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce. Toss in the fried idlis and mix thoroughly to coat them evenly.
