In a bowl, mix 1 cup of atta with leftover dal, chopped onion, jeera, chilli powder, ajwain, and salt. Knead it into a dough by adding water as needed.

Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes. This will allow the dough to soften and the flavours to mingle.

Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out using a rolling pin. Be gentle with them as the paratha could otherwise split from between.

Heat a tawa and let the parathas cook over it. Use ghee on its surface and top and flip it after 1-2 minutes. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot!
