1. Granulated Sugar

Also known as white sugar, it's the most commonly used sugar for everyday cooking and baking. It is great for bulk handling.

2. Powdered Sugar

It's the powdered version of granulated sugar, ideal for whipping cream and icing. It usually contains little cornstarch to prevent clumping.

3. Caster Sugar

Caster sugar is granulated sugar but with a very fine consistency. The sugar crystals are much smaller in size.

4. Brown Sugar

Brown sugar contains more molasses than white sugar. Brown sugar comes in two varieties: light brown and dark brown.

5. Demerara Sugar

It is minimally processed sugar with a light golden brown colour, which comes from the natural molasses present in it.
