We keep wondering how it feels like to be in space. While we see videos from space featuring what they eat, not much is known about foods that are banned in space. Let's find out.

1. Salt And Sugar

These are not allowed in space in the original forms due to the texture. However, they are taken to space in their liquid form.

2. Bread

Breads are avoided in space as they lack the needed shelf life. Besides, the loose crumbs of bread can float in space and get stuck to the sensitive equipment.

3. Soda

"The carbonation in beverages like soda acts differently in space than on Earth," the official Franklin Institute website reads. 

4. Alcohol

Astronauts, especially from NASA, are prohibited from consuming alcohol in space to keep up their utmost concentration.

5. Astronaut Ice Cream

While it is one of the most popular gift items at any science museum, the brittles of the dehydrated ice cream can interfere with sensitive equipment.
