Cosy up with a delicious and nutritious bowl of moringa soup this winter. Quick to make and packed with flavour, whip up this simple recipe at home.

2 cups drumsticks, 1-inch chopped ginger, 1 small tomato, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp ghee, 1/2 tsp jeera, 2 cups water, salt to taste

To begin with, wash the drumsticks thoroughly. Pressure-cook them with tomato, ginger, haldi, salt, and water for four whistles.

Once the pressure has settled, mash the mixture well using the back of a spatula, then strain it.

You may add some water at this stage if required. The consistency of the soup should be thin.

Crush black pepper using a mortar and pestle. Sprinkle it over the soup and top it with a tadka of ghee and jeera.

Bring the soup to a boil and serve it hot! Garnish it with fresh moringa leaves or a drizzle of lemon juice for added flavour.
