How To Keep ‘Chapati' Dough Fresh For Long

Keeping  'Chapati' dough fresh for 24 hours can be challenging as it can turn greyish black. So, here are some hacks which will not let you down

Always cover up the dough with an aluminium foil or a clean cling film after kneading it. This will keep it fresh

Make sure you always store the dough in a zip-lock bag or an airtight container before placing it in the fridge

Add water in small quantities while kneading. If you feel that the consistency of your dough is too soft, add some dry flour to correct it

Do not leave your kneaded dough uncovered or out of the refrigerator for too long

Cover the dough with oil/ghee. This will prevent blackening and drying of the flour, keeping it soft and fresh for the next batch of chapatis
