Drinking Bael fruit in summer helps your body cool from within. As per Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, traditionally, it is used as a therapy for stomach ailments and to prevent hair loss.

Take a bael (stone apple) and wash it well. Break it open by striking it down on a surface and scrape out the pulp in a vessel.

Now, add water to it and let it sit for some time. Using your hands, mash the pulp in water till it all breaks down.

Mash well till all the juice is squeezed out from the fruit and only the seeds are left. Now grab a jug and a large strainer.

Strain the juice mix into the jug with the help of the strainer. Use a spoon to gently extract more liquid from the pulp but do not squeeze the seeds.

Once the juice is strained out, add some sugar (optional) and mix well. Add some lemon juice, ice cubes and serve chilled.
