How To Make Restaurant-Style Chilli Gobhi

1. Prep The Gobhi

Cut a cauliflower into florets, blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, drain and set them aside.

2. Batter and Fry

Mix flour, cornflour, salt, pepper and water to make a smooth batter. Coat the cauliflower with this batter and deep fry until golden brown and crispy.

3. Sautee Spices

In a pan, heat some oil and add finely chopped garlic, finely chopped ginger, and chopped green chillies. Sautee for a minute until the aroma changes.

4. Veggie It Up

Sautee some chopped onion and capsicum in a pan until they become tender and fragrant.

5. Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, ketchup, red chilli sauce and vinegar. Pour this mixture into the pan and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring well.

6. Combine And Garnish

Add the fried cauliflower to the pan and toss well to evenly coat each floret. Garnish with chopped spring onions, serve hot and enjoy!
