How To Make French Fries In An Air Fryer

French fries are a crispy golden delight loved by many. Here are some tips to make them perfectly in an air fryer:

2-3 medium-sized potatoes (peeled and cut into long sticks)
1 tbsp olive oil/ vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Seasonings, as required

INGREDIENTS

Step 1

Blanch the potato sticks for about 10 minutes, strain the water, and transfer them to an ice bath or a bowl of chilly water for a few minutes.

Even if you do not blanch the potatoes, we highly recommend soaking the sticks in cold water for about 30 minutes to get perfect fries.

Step 2

Remove the potato pieces from the water and pat them dry to remove all excess moisture. Toss them in a bowl with oil and salt.

Step 3

Place the potato sticks in the basket of the air fryer without crowding it. Ideally, keep them separate and don't let them stick to each other.

Air fry at 180 degrees C for 10-12 minutes. Later, shake the basket/flip the fries, sprinkle a little salt and cook them for another 7-10 minutes at 200 degrees C.

Step 5

You can enhance the flavour of the French fries with seasonings like dried herbs, peri peri, chaat masala or any other. Pair them with ketchup/dips and enjoy hot.
