1 tsp Fennel Seeds

1 tsp Mustard Seeds

¼ cup Cornflour

½ cup Maida

3 Idli

1 tsp Lemon Juice

1 tsp Coriander Leaves

2 Whole Red Chillies

5-6 Curry Leaves


½ tsp Red Chilli Powder

Salt as per taste

1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

½ tsp Cumin Seeds


Step 1

Cut idlis into small cubes.

Step 2

In a bowl, add maida followed by cornflour, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt and ginger garlic paste. Mix them together.

Step 3

 Add lemon juice and water, and make a smooth paste.

Step 4

Put all the idli chunks in the paste.
Mix until all idli chunks are well-coated.

Step 5

 Fry the idli chunks until golden brown.

Step 6

To prepare the tadka, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, whole red chillies and curry leaves. Saute them for two minutes.

Step 7

Pour the tadka over the crunchy idli. Garnish with coriander leaves.
