How To Make Italian Classic Tiramisu

Literally meaning 'pick me up' in Italian, tiramisu was invented to be an aphrodisiac, consumed after a long day or heavy meal.

Typically, Tiramisu uses ingredients including eggs, sugar, cream cheese, sponge cake or biscuits, coffee and cocoa.

Traditionally, mascarpone cheese and alcohol are used in the making of Tiramisu.

1. Whip, Whip, Whip!

Whip egg yolk with icing sugar. Fold in the mascarpone cheese and whipped cream and keep it aside.

2. Add Some Caffeine

Prepare a mix of espresso coffee, sugar and liquor if you wish to add. Keep this aside as well.

3.  Time To Layer

Cut small squares of sponge cake, dip into coffee mixture and layer in an empty cup.

4. Add Cheese And Layer

Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over it. Alternate between the two layers till the dish is full.

5. Garnish Time

Once you are done, dust it with cocoa powder and refrigerate for an hour. Enjoy fresh.
