How To Make Maharashtrian Kokum Sharbat

Kokum sharbat is a staple in Maharashtrian households, loved for its tangy and refreshing flavour. Here's an easy recipe to help you recreate it at home.

Ingredients

1 cup soaked kokum, 1 cup sugar, 2-3 tbsp roasted jeera powder, black salt, fresh mint leaves.

Step 1

Add the soaked kokum to a grinder along with sugar. Blend the mixture well. Transfer the kokum puree to a bowl and set aside.

Take a large jug of water and add the kokum puree to it. Pound some fresh mint leaves and add them to the jug. Stir gently to combine.

Add jeera powder and black salt to the jug, mixing well to combine. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
