How To Make Momos In A Pressure Cooker

Love momos but have no steamer? No problem! Now you can make soft and delicious momos in a pressure cooker. Follow these simple steps to make homemade momos!

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
Water
1 cup cabbage, chopped
½ cup carrots, grated
½ cup onions, chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt and Pepper
1 tsp soy sauce

1. Prepare The Dough

In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a firm dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.

2. Make The Filling

Heat oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste, onions, and vegetables. Saute for 2-3 mins. Add salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Let it cool completely.

3. Shape The Momos

Roll out small dough circles and place a spoonful of filling in the centre. Gently pleat the edges to seal them into a half-moon or round shape.

4. Steam In A Pressure Cooker

Add 1-2 cups of water to the cooker and place a greased stand inside. Arrange the momos on it, ensuring they don't touch each other.

5. Cook Without Whistle

Close the lid without the whistle and steam on low-medium heat for 10-12 mins. Once done, let them rest before serving hot with chutney.
