Peel and mince fresh garlic cloves for an intense flavour. If you want a sweeter taste, roast garlic a little bit before adding it to the butter.

Use high-quality unsalted butter to make garlic butter at home. This would ensure it imbibes maximum garlic flavour and allows you to control salt level.

Choose the right quantities of garlic and butter. A general rule is to have one garlic clove for four Tbs of butter. But you can adjust it as per taste.

For a few minutes, cook a small amount of garlic in some butter over low heat. This would help release the flavour and aroma of garlic in the butter.
