Samosas are comforting and irresistible. This timeless snack can be made with less oil by using an air fryer. Here's an easy recipe:

For the covering:
1 cup maida
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup water

For filling:
1 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup each: peas & onions
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp each of cumin seeds, garam masala, coriander powder & aamchur
1/4 tsp haldi
2 tbsp oil

To make the covering, mix maida, salt and oil in a bowl. Add water gradually and knead to get a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, followed by chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste. Saute the onions well.

Add peas, mashed potatoes, salt and masalas listed for the filling. Combine the ingredients and cook for 2-3 mins. Later, allow the mixture to cool for some time.

Divide the samosa dough into small balls, flatten them and cut out semicircles. Dampen the edges with water and make a cone by pressing the opposite edges together.

Add a spoonful of the filling inside the cone and seal the edges by using a little water. Transfer the samosas to the air fryer basket and brush them with oil.

Don't crowd the basket. Brush it with a little oil so that the samosas don't stick. Alternatively, place them on parchment paper inside the air fryer.

Air fry at 190 degrees C for 15-20 mins or until the samosas turn crisp and golden brown. Flip in between to ensure even frying. Pair with chutneys and/or ketchup.
