Chaat is one of Delhi's favourite snacks, with so many variations to try. One of the best is the street-style fried aloo chaat – a crispy, spicy, and tangy treat that never fails to satisfy.

This recipe is easy to follow, and in no time, you will have perfectly fried potatoes tossed with hot spices and delicious tamarind and mint chutneys.

2 medium potatoes (peeled, cubed, and boiled)
1 onion, chopped
1 green chilli
A handful of fresh coriander leaves
4 tbsp fresh tamarind chutney
2 tbsp hot mint chutney
1 lime
1 spring onion
A pinch of chaat masala
Salt to taste

Deep fry the boiled potatoes until they are golden and crispy. Once fried, drain off the excess oil on some absorbent kitchen paper and place the potatoes into a bowl.

Add the chopped onion, green chilli, and fresh coriander leaves to the potatoes. Then, mix in the tamarind chutney and mint chutney.

Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture, sprinkle in the chaat masala, add the spring onion, and season with salt.

Give everything a good mix, making sure all the ingredients are well combined.
