To make sabudana kheer at home, you need sabudana, milk, sugar, cardamom powder, saffron strands, chopped nuts of your choice, and ghee.

1. Soak Sabudana

Wash and rinse ½ cup of sabudana and soak it in water for at least 2 hours until it becomes soft and fluffy. Drain the water and set it aside.

2. Boil The Milk

In a pan, boil 1 litre of milk. Once it is about to boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer. Please keep stirring between intervals to prevent sticking.

3. Sweeten The Kheer

Add the sabudana to the milk and cook for 20 mins. Once the milk thickens, add ½ cup sugar, ½ tsp cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Keep stirring.

4. Garnish

In a small tempering pan, heat one tablespoon of ghee and fry the chopped nuts until they are golden brown. Add this to the kheer and serve hot or chilled!
