Most of our food items - snacks, dals, sugar, rice - come in packets. If you are not emptying the packet and want to reseal the rest of the contents, here are 5 effective hacks to try:

Heat the rounded side of a spoon. Press the hot spoon along the open edge of the packet. The plastic will melt and seal the pack.

Make a V-shaped cut into the packet right at the centre. Tie the two ends of the packet into a simple knot.

This works best for breads. Twist the packet in a circular motion and then open the edges and fold them down towards the bread.
