Makhana, with its low calorie and high protein content, makes for an ideal choice in a weight loss diet. Here is a simple and delicious recipe to make it.

To start, dry roast the makhanas without adding any oil. Roast them until they turn brown, but be careful not to burn them.

Once the makhanas have cooled, grind them in a blender until you achieve a grainy powder. Set this aside for later.

Next, roast the walnuts until they change colour and release a rich aroma. Transfer them to a bowl to cool.

In a bowl, whisk the curd until smooth, then add milk and a pinch of sugar. Season with black salt, ground cumin, regular salt, red chilli to taste.

Now, add the makhanas and walnuts to the curd mixture for that satisfying crunch. Mix it well, garnish with coriander leaves, & serve it.
