Winter-Special Matar Paratha Recipe

Are you a fan of green peas? Then this Matar paratha is a must-try! Packed with the goodness of matar and aromatic spices, it is perfect for a warm meal on chilly days.

Ingredinets:

1.5 cups of green peas
2 cups of wheat flour
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp roasted Besan
1-2 tbsp coriander
1 chopped green chilli
1 tsp hing
1/3 tsp garam masala
Salt
Ghee

1. Prepare The Filling

Steam or boil peas until soft. Mash them into a paste. Now add cumin seeds, roasted besan, coriander, green chillies, hing, garam masala, and salt.

2. Knead The Dough

Take whole wheat flour, add a pinch of salt, and knead into a smooth dough using water. Cover it and let it rest for 20 minutes.

3. Stuff Paratha

Take a dough ball, flatten it, and place the matar filling inside. Seal the edges and flatten it using a rolling pin without spilling the filling.

4. Cook The Paratha

Heat a tava and place the rolled paratha on it. Cook until golden spots appear on it. Brush with ghee to roast it properly. Serve with white butter!
