Naankhatai: The 'Desi' Indian Biscuit

1/2 Cup Besan 

2 Cups Sugar

2 Cups Maida

? tsp Baking Powder

2 Tbsp Curd

1/2 Cup Ghee

 ? tsp Baking Soda

How to make

Add ghee and sugar to a bowl. Whisk well. 

Add curd to the mix and whisk until you get a batter of smooth consistency. 

Now take another bowl and sieve maida into it. 

Now add besan, baking powder and baking soda to it and mix well. 

Add cardamom seeds, the sugar-ghee mixture, and whisk well into a batter. 

Now knead a smooth dough from the mixture with bare hands. 

Make tiny balls out of the dough, press a little and lightly make cross marks over each ball with the help of a fork. 

Now take a baking tray covered with parchment paper and apply ghee over it. Place the prepared balls on it. 

Bake at 180 degree C for about 18-20 minutes and serve warm.
