Paneer Makhni


¼ cup Cream

1 Onion

3 cups Cooked Rice

10 cubes Paneer

2 tbsp Cashew Paste

1 tbsp Almonds

½ cup Fried Onion

1 cup Tomato Puree


1 tsp Ginger

3 cloves Garlic

2 Green Chillies

2 tbsp Coriander Leaves

2 Cloves

2 Cardamom Pods

5 Black Peppercorns

1 Cinnamon Stick


Salt as per taste

1 tsp Cumin-
Coriander Powder

½ tsp Sugar

¼ tsp Cardamom Powder

½ tsp Tandoori Masala

½ tsp Turmeric Powder

Step 1

Sear the paneer cubes in ghee. In the same pan, add the whole spices - cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns and cardamom.

Step 2

As the spices crackle, add the chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, garlic, and fry for 2 minutes. 

Step 3

Add all the powdered masalas followed by tomato puree. Simmer for around 10 minutes.

Step 4

Then add the cashew paste, cream and sugar. Now add the paneer and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 5

Now add cooked rice. 

Step 6

Garnish with fried onions, almonds and coriander leaves. Cook on medium flame for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
