Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 is almost here and many of us are planning to make sweets like modak and laddoo at home.

Rava laddoo is a classic and easy-to-make treat that can be ready in around 30 minutes. Here's a quick recipe with minimal ingredients:

200 gms rava (suji/semolina)
200 gms sugar, powdered
100 gms ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp dried fruits, chopped
Silver leaf / Varq (optional)

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast the rava over a low flame until it turns lightly golden. Stir carefully and ensure it doesn't burn.

Grind the rava with the powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and ghee, till you get a slightly coarse mixture.

You can add some of the dry fruits while grinding and keep some for later. Don't skip them as they will add crunch to the laddoo.

Make small balls of the sweet rava mixture with dry fruits. Grease your palms with ghee or milk, as required.
