This will be a partial solar eclipse. In some regions, up to 85% of the Sun will be obscured by the Moon.

The partial eclipse will not be visible in India. It may be seen in parts of Australia, Antarctica, the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.

The event begins at 10.59 pm IST on September 21, peaks at 1.11 am IST on September 22, and ends at 3.23 am IST.
