½ tsp Ajwain

Oil as required

¼ cup Urad Dal Paste

¼ cup Sooji

½ cup Maida


½ tsp Fennel Seeds

½ tsp Black Peppercorn

½ tsp Red Chilli Powder

¼ tsp Hing


Salt as per taste

½ tsp Coriander Seeds

½ tsp Chaat Masala

½ tsp Cumin Seeds

Coarsely grind the dry masalas like fennel seeds, black peppercorn, coriander seeds and cumin seeds. Keep aside.

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan. Add hing and the ground masala and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Next, add the urad dal paste, salt, chaat masala and red chilli powder. Fry for 7-8 minutes.

Step 3

Prepare soft kachori dough by mixing maida, sooji, ajwain, oil and water.

Step 4

Roll the dough with hands, place a ball of filling in the center and bring the edges together, covering the filling completely. Then, flatten a bit and roll it lightly.

Step 5

Fry the kachoris till golden brown. Serve with any chutney of your choice.
