Sweet, tangy and spicy-Sonth ki Chutney is a must-have for chaats and snacks. Let's make this irresistible chutney at home!

Tamarind pulp, jaggery, roasted cumin powder, dry ginger powder (sonth), black salt, red chilli powder, water.

Take 1 cup tamarind pulp and add it to a pan. Add 1 cup grated jaggery to it.

Pour 1 cup water. Stir well on low flame until jaggery completely melts into the tamarind.

Add 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tsp dry ginger powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder and ½ tsp black salt.

Let the chutney simmer for 8-10 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.

Once cooled, strain if needed. Store in an airtight jar. Enjoy your sweet Sonth chutney with samosas, pakoras, or chaats
