Summer is the best time to add fresh fruits to your daily meals. Watermelon is one of the most popular summer fruits and helps keep you hydrated during the heat.

This watermelon cooler is a refreshing drink you can easily make at home using basil and lemon juice. You can also add soaked gond katira to give it an extra boost.

4 cups watermelon chunks
2-3 small basil leaves
A handful of crushed ice
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp gond katira (soaked)

Add watermelon chunks, lemon juice and basil leaves to a food processor. Blend everything until it turns smooth.

Transfer everything to a blender. Blend again until smooth, then strain it.

Take a large glass, add 2 tbsp of soaked gond katira, and pour the watermelon juice into it.

Top it with crushed ice. Garnish using a large basil leaf and a slice of lime.
