1. Tresind Studio, Dubai

Led by Chef Himanshu Saini, Tresind Studio is the first-ever Indian restaurant to win a Michelin star. It currently has two stars.

2. Avatara, Dubai

Avatara is the first vegetarian modern Indian restaurant to get a Michelin star. The Dubai establishment is helmed by Chef Rahul Rana.

3. Gaa, Bangkok

Helmed by Chef Garima Arora, Gaa in Thailand has two Michelin stars - it is the world's second Indian restaurant to receive this distinction.

4. Haoma, Bangkok

Led by Chef Deepanker Khosla, Haoma has one Michelin star at present. It has also received a Michelin Green star for its sustainable practices.

5. INDDEE

This restaurant in Thailand won a Michelin star in 2024 for its impeccable “Indian-inspired” gastronomy, as per the guide.

6. New Punjab Club, Hong Kong

This restaurant specialises in North Indian and Pakistani fare. It has one Michelin star and is led by Chef Palash Mitra.

7. Chaat, Hong Kong

Chaat is famous for its experimentation with Indian street food. It was honoured with a Michelin star in 2022.

8. Rania, Washington DC

Helmed by Chef Chetan Shetty, Rania became a Michelin-starred restaurant in 2023. It is known for its inventive Indian menu.

9. Indienne, Chicago

Led by Chef Sujan Sarkar, Indienne was also awarded a Michelin star in 2023. The guide especially praises its tasting menu.

10. Semma, New York

The Michelin Guide conferred Semma with its first star in 2022. Chef Vijay Kumar showcases the diverse flavours of regional South Indian cuisines.

11. Veeraswamy, London

Established in 1926, Veeraswamy was awarded a Michelin star in 2016. Charlie Chaplin, Indira Gandhi and Winston Churchill have dined here.

Gymkhana in Mayfair received its second Michelin star in 2024. It is inspired by the Gymkhana clubs of colonial India.
