Did you run out of amchoor powder in the middle of cooking? Fear not! Several ingredients in our kitchen make for excellent substitutes for this powder. Check them out.

Lemon juice has a similar tangy flavour as amchoor powder. Squeeze in a few drops towards the end while cooking, and you're good to go.

Tamarind also works as an excellent replacement for amchoor powder. You can use its powder in chutney, curries, and even sabzis.

Chaat masala consists of several other spices, including amchoor powder. Use the same amount as you would use amchoor powder.

You can even use anardana powder in place of amchoor. This powder is prepared from pomegranate seeds and provides similar tartness.

To use green mangoes, cut them into pieces, transfer them to a food processor and blend well. Use this puree in place of amchoor powder.
