Spring is here, so is the time to enjoy Holi. With this, comes the time to indulge in a range of decadent fried foods. Try these classic bhajias for your Holi celebration.

It is green pepper, stuffed with a masala aloo filling, and deep fried. This snack is also called mirch bajji or mirch vada.

A popular snack in Indian homes, it is made with besan, salt, light spices and the main ingredient - onion. It goes well with a hot cup of tea.

This crispy snack is made by deep-frying mix of soaked moong dal paste, onion, ginger, garlic, coriander, green chilli, salt and ajwain.

Besan, methi leaves, sambhar powder and turmeric powder are mixed together and deep-fried until golden brown. Pair it with some chutney and enjoy.

Much like methi bhajia, this snack is also prepared by mixing fresh coriander leaves with besan, salt, red chilli powder and some kalonji.
