5 Simple Tips For Storing Green Chillies

Green chillies are a staple in many kitchens, but they can spoil quickly if not stored properly. Here are easy tips to help extend their shelf life and keep them fresh for longer:

1. Zip Lock Bag

Separate the stems from the green chillies & place them inside a zip-lock bag. Store the bag in the refrigerator. This trick helps keep the them fresh longer.

2. Airtight Container

For longer storage, place a clean towel in an airtight container. Separate the stems of the green chillies and arrange them in the container.

3. Aluminium Foil

Arrange the chillies on a plate & cover them with aluminium foil. Place the plate in the freezer for a few hours, then transfer it to container for storage.

4. Tissue Paper

Wash the green chillies thoroughly and soak them in water. After a while, remove the chillies, break the stalks, and wrap them in tissue paper.

5. Newspaper

Remove the chillies from their plastic bag, wrap them in newspaper, and store them in the fridge. The newspaper will help absorb moisture, preventing the chillies from spoiling.
