7 Tips to Make Street-Style Raj Kachori

Raj Kachori is a popular Indian street food loved by people of all age groups. These crispy, deep-fried kachori is filled with spiced potatoes, a variety of masalas, and chutneys.

1. Make Dough for Kachori

Start by taking one cup of semolina and half a cup of flour in a mixing bowl. Heat water in a separate vessel, add turmeric, and mix well.

2 Use Turmeric-Infused  Water

Knead a soft dough using this turmeric-infused water and set it aside.

3. Prepare Besan Batter

To make the gram flour filling, combine gram flour, red chilli, salt, baking soda, and some water in a bowl. Mix well until it forms a thick batter.

4. Make Kachori

Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it slightly. Apply the gram flour batter on it, shape it into a ball, and roll it out.

5. Fry It to Perfection

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the kachoris until golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and let them cool down.

6. Prepare the Stuffing

Mash boiled potatoes and mix them with salt and spices. Season boiled chickpeas and green lentils with spices to enhance their flavour.

7. Assemble the Kachori

Take a kachori, make a hole in the centre, & start assembling the stuffing. Add potato mixture, seasoned lentils & chickpeas. Drizzle chutneys & curd.

8. Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds for a burst of colour and flavour. Serve immediately for an authentic street-style Raj Kachori experience.
