Thick, wholesome, and nutritious, bajra soup is a perfect comfort food for winter. Thanks to its high fibre content, it can help you shed those extra kilos! Here's how to make it.

2 tbsp bajra flour
1 cup mixed veggies (carrots, beans, peas, etc.)
1 tsp ginger slivers
½ tsp jeera
¼ tsp haldi
½ tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp green chilli sauce
1 tsp vinegar
Salt
Water
Coriander leaves for garnishing

In a pan, heat oil and add jeera. Let it splutter before adding mixed vegetables – carrots, beans, peas, etc. – and let them cook for 2 minutes.

Add turmeric, pepper powder, and salt to the mixture. Mix well so that veggies become a little soft for the soup. Cover the lid of the pan.

In a bowl, mix bajra flour with ½ cup water to form a smooth paste. Add this mixture to the vegetables, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Add 4 cups of water and boil. Reduce the heat to add tomato ketchup, green chilli sauce, and vinegar. Cook for 10 mins, garnish with coriander and serve!
