Bread pakora is a timeless Indian tea-time snack loved by innumerable people. This iconic comfort food is often associated with good times and happy memories.

Regular bread pakora is a crowd favourite. Cut off the edges of bread slices, simply coat them with besan batter and then fry until crisp.

In this less-oil recipe, the batter-coated bread pieces are cooked on a tawa instead of being deep-fried.

Start by preparing a flavourful mixture of mashed potatoes and basic spices. Stuff it between the bread slices, dip them into the batter and deep fry.

In this layered pakora recipe, paneer is covered with potato stuffing which is placed in between the bread. The pieces are then coated in batter.

In this recipe, chopped onions are incorporated into the besan batter. So after coating the bread in it and frying, the pakoras get an extra crispy texture.
