HOW TO MAKE 
CHANA DAL 
DHOKLA 

Ingredients

1 tsp Ginger 

1 Green Chilli 

1 tbsp Coriander Leaves 

3 Dry Red Chillies 

¼ cup Curd 

½ cup Chana Dal (Soaked) 

Ingredients

A pinch of Hing 

1 tsp Mustard Seeds 

¼ tsp Sugar 

¼ tsp Baking Soda 

Ingredients

Salt to taste

1 tsp Oil

¼ tsp Turmeric Powder 

½ tsp Lemon Juice 

Step 1

In a bowl, add soaked chana dal and curd. Grind to make a paste. 

Step 2

Add sugar and mix well. Cover it and let it ferment overnight. 

Step 3

Add turmeric powder, salt, green chillies and baking soda. Mix well till light and fluffy. 

Step 4

Add oil and transfer the batter into a tin mould. 

Step 5

Cover and steam for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Let it cool down and cut into cubes. 

Step 7

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, hing, ginger, and coriander leaves. 

Step 8

Add lemon juice and water. Let it boil. 

Step 9

Pour it over dhokla cubes. Serve.
