Peanut chikki is a traditional Indian sweet made with nuts and sugar, often prepared for Lohri. With the festival near, here's an easy recipe to make it at home.

1 cup peanuts, 1 cup sugar or jaggery, 2-3 tbsp water, ghee (for greasing)

Start by roasting the peanuts in a pan. Once roasted, let them cool. Rub them between your hands to remove the skin, then crush them.

In the same pan, add sugar or jaggery along with water. Heat the mixture over low flame, stirring until it melts completely.

Add the roasted peanuts to the melted sugar or jaggery mixture. Mix quickly to coat the peanuts evenly.

Grease a tray with ghee. Pour the peanut mixture onto it and spread it evenly using a greased rolling pin to your desired thickness.

Cut the mixture into squares while it's still warm. Allow the chikki to cool before serving. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
