This soft red velvet cake is finished with cream frosting and a layer of red velvet crumbs. You can also add white edible pearl chocolate to make it look more special. Prepare this delicious cake to treat your partner this Valentine's Day.

100 gms red velvet sponge mix
75 gms whipped cream
15 gms mascarpone cheese
20 gms cream cheese
15 gms icing sugar
15 ml sugar syrup
30 gms white chocolate compound
1 gm cardamom powder

Take 100 gms of red velvet premix and add water and oil to form a semi-liquid batter. Mix well to remove any lumps. Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 180°C while preparing the batter.

Grease a cake pan with a thin layer of melted unsalted butter. Pour in the batter and let it settle. Bake the cake in the microwave oven for 8–10 minutes at 180°C.

For the frosting, mix 15 gms mascarpone, 20 gms cream cheese, 75 gms whipped cream, 1 gm cardamom powder and 15 gms icing sugar. Blend until smooth, airy and light.

Once baked, remove the cake and let it cool. Take it out of the pan and place it on butter paper. Cut it into a heart shape and cover it with the prepared frosting.

Sprinkle red velvet crumbs over one side of the cake and white chocolate crumbs over the other for a simple garnish.
