Galouti kebab is one of Lucknow's most famous street foods, known for its melt-in-the-mouth texture and rich spices. Made with finely minced lamb, these kebabs are an unmissable delicacy.

The word galouti translates to 'soft'-a fitting name for these kebabs designed to melt in mouth. This dish originated in late 17th or early 18th century.

According to legend, Mirza Asad-ud-Daula, the Nawab Wazir of Oudh, had lost most of his teeth in old age but wasn't willing to give up his love for kebabs.
