It is common to catch cold, cough and flu during the monsoon. But by using several ingredients already present in the kitchen, one can support and strengthen immunity.

If you want to improve your immunity during monsoon, try drinking a herbal tea made of ginger and tulsi. It is definitely very beneficial.

Ginger and tulsi are known for their nutritional properties. The addition of black peppercorns, fennel seeds and cinnamon powder makes this drink healthy.
1 pinch Ginger
3 Peppercorns
2–3 leaves Tulsi
1 tsp Oregano (dry)
1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
1/4 tsp Jeera
1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
Pinch of Ajwain

Bring all the ingredients together in a pan with 2 cups of water.

Keep the tea to boil for 10 minutes and then simmer.

Strain the tea in a cup. You can drink this tea as it is or add a teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of lemon juice to it for added flavour.

Ginger tulsi tea can be consumed at any time of the day, or you may choose it as your first tea of the morning for additional benefits.

Add tulsi leaves after boiling the peppercorns and ginger for a few minutes. Do not forget to crush the peppercorns to enhance the flavour.
